Ducati has officially reopened in India with three dealerships open now in Mumbai, Delhi and Gurgaon. Ducati India Private Limited, headed by MD Ravi Avalur, is the official subsidiary of Ducati Motor. The new dealerships will offer the Ducati Diavel, Hypermotard, Monster and Panigale models. The new Scrambler, which is a spartan on-off road style motorcycle will join the ranks shortly.
The brand had made debut in India in 2009 under a partnership with Precision Motor India, which was its exclusive importer. It took a pause in January last year when Ducati decided to open its own national sales company in India. The Precision would become one of its distributors.
The Italian motorcycle manufacturer has opened three dealerships – in Gurgaon, Delhi and Mumbai, officially kickstarting the re-launch of operations in India. Bookings have already begun and official prices are expected in a day or two.
Commenting on the development, Ducati India managing director, Ravi Avalur said, “Our intention was to open in India with an official Ducati presence only when we were absolutely ready. I can now confirm that our after-sales service centres will ensure exactly the same high standards achieved across Ducati’s global network.”
Ducati is going to bring most of its models through CBU route, which is keeping the prices a bit heightened. However, the manufacturer seems to be ready to start a new revolution in India. Furthermore, the prices noted above are ex-showroom Delhi and Haryana.
