Union human resources development minister Smriti Irani has said that the people of Andhra Pradesh will witness new glory under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu. She said both the leaders are visionaries who are determined to give a big push to technology. “We should all complement their efforts for their encouragement towards the development of technology,” she added.
The human resource development minister laid the foundation stones of the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER), Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) and Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIT). The IIIT is being set up at Sri city, Satyavedu Mandal in Chittoor district. IIIT would also focus on research in the areas of ESDM (Electronic System Design & Manufacturing), automotive electronics, cloud computing, data analytics, technologies for smart cities, supply chain and logistics, clean energy and aerospace, a government release had earlier said.
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu and Union Minister for Urban Development M Venkaiah Naidu were also present at foundation, laying ceremony of Indian Institute of Science Education and Research, Indian Institute of Technology and Indian Institute of Information Technology. Speaking on the occasion, Union urban development minister M Venkaiah Naidu reiterated that the BJP-led NDA government would fulfill all the assurances made to AP.
