Flipkart appointed Anand KV as the Senior Vice-President, Customer Expericcence — (Commerce Platform) and will work on driving the customer experience charter for the marketplace. The e-commerce firm also announced the appointment of txtWeb Co-founder Manish Maheshwari as VP & Head of Seller Ecosystem.
Bengaluru-based e-commerce major Flipkart today announced the appointment of three top-level executives to strengthen its leadership team, as the company looks double its gross merchandise value (GMV) this year and may perhaps be looking at a initial public offer (IPO) over the next few years. Among others, the company said has appointed Hari Vasudev, former vice president at Yahoo! Inc as a senior vice president for engineering, IT and analytics for supply chain. Flipkart has also appointed a former senior executive of Hathway Cable and Tata Sky Anand K V as senior vice president for customer experience, and co-founder of txtWeb, a marketplace for text-based apps, Manish Maheshwari as vice president and head of seller ecosystem.
Flipkart has set a target to double its GMV to $8 billion (around Rs 48,000 crore) in 2015, as against $4 billion (Rs 24,000 crore) now. The eCommerce firm also announced the appointment of txtWeb co-founder Manish Maheshwari as vice-president who will be responsible for driving key initiatives such as seller acquisition, enablement & growth and helping to beef up the overall seller ecosystem team.
